In grade 4, students will have the opportunity to study a band instrument. A thirty minute small group lesson per week will cover correct embouchure, note and rhythm reading and performance of simple tunes from their lesson book. Lessons will continue all year long.  In January, students who demonstrate basic proficiency will be invited to join the beginning band. This group will meet for 45 minutes once a week and will perform several concerts in the spring.
