FRIENDS OF THE LSM SPARTAN BAND Links to: Fundraising forms The "Friends of the LSM Spartan Band" (FLSMB) is an adult volunteer organization that supports the high school band program through it’s many fundraising and other activities throughout the year. Through fund raising events such as the Mum Sale, Poinsettia Sale and the Big Band Bash, the organization is able to provide additional funding for trips, awards, guest artists, and clinicians. In addition, support is given during the budget process as it relates to the music program in the district as well as providing financial assistance and awards for the elementary and middle school instrumental music programs as well. The "Friends of the LSM Band" is active in the organization of the summer band camp, which is held every August for the Spartan Marching Band. The distribution of band and color guard uniforms, collection of funds for uniform cleaning and tailoring as well as assistance with on the street marching band practice and the freshman lunch are all invaluable services provided by this extremely important organization. To find out the latest news on future events, meet new people, get involved with helping at one or more of these occasions, and have a great time, you can attend one of our meetings. The current schedule is listed below. All are welcome to attend these meetings. Any help, whether it is one event or more, will be greatly appreciated. Meetings are generally scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month unless there is another school event previously scheduled for that evening.
