STUDIOSPACE Links to: Student Recordings (coming soon) The StudioSpace club at the Lewis Mills High School is an opportunity for students to develop ensemble and performance skills that apply to popular styles of music such as rock and pop. Students who are interested in making recordings of either bands or of solo projects meet regularly after school to rehearse their music, and then are eventually introduced to the process that is involved in making a recording. The end result is recordings that the students can keep as a permanent record of their work. This club is also a place where students who with to learn the arts of sound engineering and sound reinforcement can hone their knowledge and skills. Student engineers are paired up with the student performers and act as their technicians as the musicians first rehearse, and then record their work. This club meets regularly after the regular school day. Please return here to check out any new student recordings that have been posted. |
