David is currently the instructor for classroom music at the high school level for Region #10. He is also the choral director at Lewis Mills High School and teaches the technical theater program at the School. David is currently involved in the development of music technology opportunities for the district, and is the designer and webmaster for this site. In past years, he has also taught at Lake Garda Elementary where he taught kindergarten through 4th grade classroom music and 3rd grade recorder classes, and at Har-Bur Middle School, where he taught both vocal and instrumental classes in the 6th-8th grade programs.
David is a past member of the executive board of the Eastern Division of the American Choral Director's Association as the division's webmaster, served as the webmaster for the Connecticut division of ACDA, has been the choral chair for the Berkshire League Music Festival, and was the treasurer and 2004-2005 choral chair for the Northern Region CMEA music festival. He has an avid interest in the world's diverse musical cultures and can be seen performing roots and folk music in Connecticut as a mandolinist, fiddler and bouzouki player.
David also has extensive background in technical theater. He worked as the lighting and sound supervisor for the Hartford Stage Company for 7 years, was on the crew for the 1991-1992 national tour of the show "Gypsy", and has taught technical theater courses at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, and at the Loomis Chaffee school. He has also designed and/or directed shows at Lewis S. Mills, at the Loomis Chaffee school, at Trinity College in Hartford, and for Capital Classics (Shakespeare in the park).
David currently resides in Southington, Connecticut with his wife Lisa, daughter Maizie Jiang, and their loving and much loved yellow lab, Monty.
