Francine Gryniuk is currently the vocal/ classroom music teacher at the Harwinton Consolidated School.  She has held this position since September 1978.

Miss Gryniuk has worked with the Music Education Program at Western Connecticut State University and has served as a cooperating teacher to countless student teachers throughout the years.  She has also offered a variety of workshops to music education students at WCSU on the topic of “Integration of Classroom Music into the Curriculum”.  She is currently a member of CMEA and MENC.

In the year 1991, Miss Gryniuk was named “Teacher of the Year” for both the Harwinton Consolidated School and Regional School District #10.

Having studied folklore and ethnography in Poland, Miss Gryniuk became the Summer Sessions Coordinator for the Kosciuszko Foundation, New York City facilitating ethnographic studies in at the University of Nicholas, Copernicus in Torun Poland. She has led various tour groups to Poland and throughout Europe. 

Miss Gryniuk worked as Music Director of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Harwinton for 18 years. Also, she has consistently worked as choir director, organist and vocalist throughout the area.

Miss Gryniuk lives in Torrington, CT with her daughters, Bessie and Mary. She adopted both children from Lithuania, and frequently travels back to Lithuania with her daughters.
