Since 1997, Mark has been one of the visual art educators at the Lewis S. Mills High School. His teaching responsibilities there include Clay I and Clay II, Folk Arts and Crafts, Contemporary Crafts, and Fundamentals of Design. Prior to teaching at Lewis S. Mills, he also taught in the district at the Harwinton Consolidated School from 1995-1997. Other teaching experiences have included three years as an adjunct professor at the Central Connecticut State University (2000-2003) where he taught Clay I, and two years at the Parkman Elementary School and Enfield Connecticut (1993-1995).

Mark is also an exhibiting artist, and his work has been seen at the Artwell Gallery Winter Exhibits (2000-2003), at an Artwell Gallery One Man Show, "From the Earth Series" in 1999, at Noah Webster House and Hartford House Exhibits, and in 1998 at a Central Connecticut State University Gallery Three-Man Show.
